Our Spiritual Journey

On February 28, 2021, The Dance Institute of Washington (DIW) debuted a new full-length dance production, created and directed by Ashanté Green titled Our Spiritual Journey. The production takes viewers on a journey through Black diasporan history, culture, and ancestry through dance. This February 2023 in honor of Black History Month, we would like to invite the community to come together and watch the streaming in our Fabian Barnes Black Box Theater to celebrate our history. Following the viewing, we will have two excerpts from the production shown live, ending with a talk back to discuss the vision, choreography, wardrobe, and more.
