DIW’s creative incubator exists to serve Washington D.C. artists. We recognize that many local artists can’t afford to rent studio space to prepare for gigs, tours, and other performances. DIW offers residencies to those underserved local artists at no charge. Each artist must submit an application in order to be selected. DIW is positioned to host two to three incubator residencies each year. Residencies can roll into performances at our Fabian Barnes Blackbox Theater, but are not considered part of the DIW season.
