In addition to DIW’s own productions, each DIW season features two local artists or companies presenting works that are in alignment with DIW’s artistic values. Artists are carefully selected by our Creative Director through an application and interview process.
The DIW Curated Series is in service of DIW bringing awareness and fresh creativity to our community. In order to meet these goals, the curated series is equity-based: the artists featured will be members of groups that have been historically excluded from the performing arts.
This opportunity is for early career artists who need visibility and a place to share their creative voice. A fully-funded rehearsal period and public production in DIW studios and Fabian Barnes Blackbox Theater will provide a jumpstart for these artists and an engaging experience for local audiences.
