The DIW Creative Career Readiness program, delivered in partnership with the Department of Employment Services, provides students with paid work opportunities, audition and interview workshops, and assistance with college and job applications. DIW staff and guests deliver presentations about artistic positions and career paths available to students, offering their networks to those who choose to pursue those paths. Students attending professional auditions are then equipped to secure quality headshots, write polished resumes, and prepare effectively for audition requirements. Additionally, the DIW Workforce program offers rotating positions to alumni to work for the Dance Institute of Washington as teaching assistants or faculty and staff members.
